We're football crazy at New Forest Cottages

The World Cup is just about to kick off and here at New Forest Cottages we have our own dedicated ‘team’ ready to take your booking.  It is always our ‘goal’ to offer first class service, offering high standards in properties and customer care.  Why not book one of our properties ranging from quaint thatched cottages to luxury apartments and then just sit back and enjoy the football.

Our properties within the New Forest will not only give you a great base to explore the forest and coast but also provide television and somewhere comfy to sit, where you can watch or record the match of your choice.  Many of the properties we offer are in walking distance of a local pub, where you can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a drink or two ….just try not to get shown the ‘red card’!

And if that isn’t enough to tempt you…many of our properties are offering special offer discounts for June and July bookings!

But if you want to get away from the football (for just a while) you may be interested in one of the many events that are taking place in the New Forest during the World Cup.

Paws for a Walk – Sponsored Dog Walk at The Crown Stirrup in Lyndhurst
Saturday 21st June  10am – 4pm
Join the sponsored walk in aid of Hearing Dogs.  It is an easy to follow, beautiful woodland walk, with a BBQ and pub food available when you’ve finished…and maybe catch some of the Argentina v Iran match!

Walk the Smugglers Trail
Wednesday 25th June  9.30am – 1pm
This 5.5 mile walk starts and finishes near The Queens Head pub in Burley.  The route follows the trails used by New Forest Smugglers during the 18th Century and skirts the South of Burley Village, crossing Cranes Moor and climbing Castle Hill.  And after all of that you will probably need a rest, a drink and maybe a spot of lunch….and you’ll still be back in time to watch the evening matches!

Beer & Cider Festival at The Hare & Hounds, Sway
Friday 4th – Sunday 6th July
Enjoy 3 days of beer, cider, music and hog roast at a very popular pub on the outskirts of Sway village, which is within walking distance of open Forest.

So don’t sit on the side-line during the World Cup…come and stay with us in the fabulous New Forest!
